We are partner in Erasmus Project “Let’s go green”.
In this year it isn’t easy prepare activities with children for Corona virus rules but we try to do something.
In our comprehensive school there is a small school in a very suggestive village called Ceriana. It is in the mountain, fast from Sanremo half an hour by car.
There is a forest close to school so the students go there to do outdoor activities and study nature.
Natural play is great for children’s development: research has shown it can boost cognitive ability increase physical fitness, reduce symptoms of attention deficit disorder and even help improve grades in school.
They use ecologic stamp called “Eco print”. With this method we can stamp on t-shirts and bags leaves, flowers, berries and other vegetal things, you can see in the phots. Before, when they are in the forest, the teacher teach them to observe color in living and nonliving matter and look for natural colors and materials they may be able to create pigment too. Then they collect a lot of things in the forest like leaves, chestnuts, stones, flowers, small branch, beets and berries .
At the school, the teacher helps the students to choose the shapes to use, decide the composition and put the vinegar. Then the t-shirts or bags are put on the support to stop the composition.
They leave them in the sun to dry. So the students created a very original products.
