Since one of our project goals is to be outdoor with children, playing and learning about nature we have formed a little scouts group.
We ask children who are scouts and they say:
- “They burn fire in the forest, they sleep in tent, they pick up garbage and they walk.” P.G. 6,5 g.
- „Scouts find something.” L.G. 6,2 g.
- „When they cook, they cook eggs and sausage on the fire and marsmallow and they eat that.” I.K. 6,10 g.
- „Scouts collects wood and making fire.” J.L. 6,11 g.
We ask old scout to visit the group and he show them magic knots, learn scout songs and told stories by the campfire.
We work on self-resolution of conflicts, developing self-confidence (working as leader of the group), development of civic competencies (voting for the name, sign and leader of the flock), development of social skills (arrangements, negotiations), development of connection between children by scout games (get through the reel, grab the scarf, nose relay).
We went on trips to the lake and learn about nature and animals around lake and make room for spontaneous child’s play in nature.
This is just a small part of the activities we have done and we will continue to work with the scouts and plan more trips and collaborations.
