In our activities we support the development of children´s abilities to see, study and use all kind of different natural materials. This time we made the fridge magnet out of:

natural clay and little stones collected by the teacher on the seaside

empty snail shells found on one of our walking tours in our neighborhood

First we covered the glass can lids lids with the piece of plastic and put 2 pieces of magnets and handful of clay on top of it

Then children pressed the clay evenly  and decorated with shells and little stones

We removed decorated clay  from the lid and left to dry on the radiator for 24 hours

Once dried we secured our pieces of art with PVA glue and let to dry

Now our magnets are ready to use on the board or on the fridge
